Bottle Digging and/or Metal Detecting Availability: Most Saturday and Sunday mornings
What are your favorite things to find? Relics, coins, buttons, bullets, anything that tells a story!
Where are your favorite types of places to dig or metal detect? Anywhere I can get permission! Prefer wooded areas with softer ground and shade... don't do well in high heat and direct sun. Love to dig in late fall, winter, early spring.
Will you split the costs of a day digging or detecting (Example: Gas, hotel, etc.)? For a well planned event and on rare occasions (once or twice a year), yes.
What type of bottle digging tools do you use? Shovels, trowel, gloves, garden knife.
What type of metal detecting equipment do you use? Bounty Hunter 4, but saving and upgrading to Garrett Ace (or perhaps another similar quality detector).
Any physical digging or detecting limitations? As stated, high heat (85 or more) + direct sun for more than a few hours. Although very early mornings (I start at first light) I can go longer like maybe four hours.
Do you go to Bottle and/or Metal Detecting Shows? No, but only because the opportunity has not presented itself.
Care if others use tobacco or alcohol while digging or detecting? No, as long as they don't care that I do not.
What's your email? lefthebrazen@gmail.com
How many miles will you travel to dig and/or detect? 25
List other states you are willing to travel to, if this is the case: None
Comfortable with a fellow digger and/or detector staying overnight at your home? No
Additional Comments: (Note: Do not mention your race, marital status, etc… Limit comments to digging and detecting!): Looking for local folks to detect with. Would love to try bottle dump digging but have no experience in this area. I have a very hard time getting permissions (only have it from a few neighbors). And feel a bit self conscious when I detect in view of my sometimes cranky or overly curious local neighborhood community. I do get along with just about everyone I meet and am genuinely curious having a good time finding even what some would consider"junk".

Additional Comments: (Note: Do not mention your race, marital status, etc… Limit comments to digging, detecting, magnet fishing!):
Hi everyone, I originally started digging about 15 years ago in Central, NY. I mostly dig and collect bottles in and from my home town, but I can only make it up there a few times a year. I recently moved to TN and considering most of my time is spent down here it would be great to meet some like minded people that wouldn't mind me tagging along to dig with them. I love digging both privies and dumps and I also have all of my own tools. For me its the enjoyment of being out and digging and I just hope to do it on a more constant basis, instead of only a couple times a year.
